USEFUL TIPS:
Typing in Nepali for website or blog
As far as we know, the web browsers do not recognize plain Nepali fonts. We need to convert them into Unicode. There are several Unicode Converters, but this one is quite easier (the link is below) . It works very well with "Preeti" Nepali font. Whichever Converter you use, the easiest way to convert normal Nepali font into Unicode-Nepali font is to type words in a word processor, such as Microsoft Word, and make neccessary edit/spell check. Then copy and paste into converter box.
Go to this website: http://xnepali.net/fonts/preeti-unicode.htm, then copy and paste those words into upper box of this website's page. Click the button below; you will see Nepali Unicode in the lower box. Copy and paste your Unicode-Nepali Font for website or blog use. If you don't have Preeti Font, you can use any other Nepali Fonts, but Preeti gives an accurate result. Click here to download "Preeti" font or search on the web to download from other source.
Having trouble typing these letters shown here? द्द रु ह् द्य ँ द्घ ट्ट ङ ड् ढ हृ " ङ् ग त्र ङ् क ङ् ख ् य ' ! ट्ठ द्व ॐ ऽ ङ् घ ड् ड Use "Character Map" available on your computer. If you are using Windows PC and has Window Vista Operating System, follow the instruction below to find and use the "Character Map".
Click "Start" button > Click "All Programs" > Click "Accessories" > Click "System Tools" > Click "Character Map". Choose desired font from the "Font" menu. Click a letter (character) and look at the bottom right corner of the box where you see "Keystroke: Alt+...." For example, if you clicked on ॐ, you see "Keystroke: Alt+0231". It means you need to press Alt and type those four numbers using numeric key pad (not the keyboard's upper row number keypad).
