Nepal Day holds special significance in North Carolina, where the towns of Wake County, Morrisville, and Apex have officially proclaimed the third Saturday of April as Nepal Day, aligning with the Nepali New Year based on the Bikram Sambat calendar—a traditional solar calendar that runs approximately 56–57 years ahead of the Gregorian calendar.
Founded in 1999, NCNC is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Nepali culture and fostering community engagement.
